Brendan Adams
Software Engineer

Brendan performs software engineering, coding, and testing, along with support to SDI database implementation efforts. He is the lead application developer for SDI’s roll call application software. He also developed the innovative firefighter RFID Tour Roster and Ride List software applications.

Caleb Adams
Software Engineer

Caleb supports software design and development of the Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) satellite mission management framework for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). He leads efforts to modernize the web application architecture to improve the longevity and maintainability of the program. He interfaces with stakeholders and mission developers that utilize the VMOC framework to meet government requirements for numerous ongoing satellite missions that NRL supports.

Patrick Afram
DevOps Engineer

Patrick supports numerous fireground accountability solution deployments. He provides development and test support to SDI efforts related to fireground accountability applications developed for FDNY and other fire departments across the United States.

Diego Baeza
Software Engineer

Diego supports software design and development of the Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) satellite mission management framework for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). Additionally, his efforts include modernizing the web application architecture to improve the longevity and maintainability of the program

Frank Briese
President & Founder

As President, Frank leads SDI technical and corporate activities. He has over 25 years experience with space, aerospace, software, and communications programs, including space development projects, prototype and production avionics, maritime domain systems, and developmental terrestrial systems. His significant program management and system planning experience spanning a variety of technologies enables SDI to address broad-based challenges.

Cory Clark
Principal Engineer

Cory serves as an engineer and supports SDI’s fireground accountability projects. He provides assistance with deployments, development, testing, and quality control efforts. He has extensive radio experience and has implemented radio features across a variety of platforms. He has developed novel metal detection/anti-theft algorithms and has experience integrating FPGA to GPP\DSP for military\DoD tactical radio products.

Kimberly Davis
Business Operations Manager

Kim manages contractual and financial support activities including preparation of accounting records, cost data, budgets, and monitoring of corporate financials. She compiles and prepares status reports and cost estimates. She performs cost/budget development and supports efforts to identify, manage, and track program deliverables for both Government and Commercial clients.

Amy Flanagan
Senior Technical Writer

Amy performs systems analysis and technical documentation activities for Government and Commercial clients. She develops a variety of technical and non-technical documents, including specifications, standards, user guides, newsletters, program plans, reports, and web sites. Amy has specialized experience investigating and defining program security plans and procedures. She has hands-on experience navigating the certification and accreditation process from definition of protection levels to preparation of certification plans and procedures.

Janet Gordon
Software Engineer

Janet is a Software Engineer assisting with development and testing of First Responder applications. She also assists with SDI testbed operations and maintenance.

Mary Hood
Software Engineer

Mary performs software design and development efforts for SDI First Responder technologies and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) program. For VMOC, she assists with efforts to provide Department of Defense customers with a software framework to meet satellite tasking and mission management objectives in the space domain. For First Responder efforts, she supports SDI application development and maintenance efforts for fireground accountability applications.

Dina Jawlani
Financial Reporting Analyst

Dina supports U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Code 8200 financial reporting and data collection for multiple NRL programs. She monitors and tracks Sponsor funding and supports funding allocation activities. Dina supports cost and budget development and tracks program deliverables. She delivers a wide variety of monthly and annual financial cost reports.

James Keys
Software Engineer

James performs software design and development efforts for SDI’s Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Customer’s Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) Program. For VMOC, he assists with efforts to provide Department of Defense (DoD) customers with a software framework to meet satellite tasking and mission management objectives in the space domain.

Chris Knapp
Software Engineer

Chris supports software design and development of the Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) satellite mission management framework for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). He interfaces with stakeholders and mission developers that use the VMOC framework to meet government requirements for numerous ongoing satellite missions that NRL supports.

Bryan Mahosky
Technical Writer

Bryan researches, develops, and prepares technical documentation in support of SDI Customer programs and projects. He supports development of user and technical documents for SDI first responder software application programs. Bryan supports project requirement management through database maintenance and verification coordination.

Joe McMullin
Software Test Engineer

Joe performs unit, feature, integration, and regression testing in an Agile environment. He reports bugs, runs test procedures, writes reports, and develops automated tests. He exercises the web application user interfaces, develops and follows test procedures, and collaborates with developers to identify and resolve software defects.

Dale Meisenbach
Vice President of Technology

Dale performs system analysis and software design and implementation for many elements of the FDNY Fireground Accountability Program (FGAP). He designed and implemented the database and dataflow in the various FDNY FGAP projects and ensured reliable transfer and retrieval of data, as well as cross-project compatibility. Additionally, he developed intuitive, easy-to-use front-end user interfaces. He leads internal product development efforts of EasyStaff.

Erica Olmsted
Manager Financials Planning & Reporting

Erica is responsible for the collection and organization of actual cost data. She prepares summary and detailed programmatic cost reports and performs financial data analysis. Erica gathers actual Full Time Equivalent (FTE) data and prepares summary and detailed FTE reports. She assists with documenting new funding and processing funding transfers for various programs.

Will Pegram
Assistant General Manager

Will’s experience includes maintaining and managing the property book for an entire battalion, in excess of 250 million dollars. He is experienced with logistics, project coordination, and acquisitions. He also serves as a Battalion Chief Logistics Staff Officer as part of the Army Reserves.

Bart Posselt
Web Technologies Manager

Bart’s expertise includes Web programming, database integration, e-commerce, and Web security. He uses Oracle databases, MS SQL Server, and MySQL. His knowledge of programming languages includes Java, ColdFusion, SQL, Actionscript, Javascript, HTML5, and CSS. Bart performs Apache Tomcat, IIS, FTP, SSH, SQL Server, MySQL, and ColdFusion server installation, configuration, and administration.

John Prida
Systems Analyst

John provides engineering support to SDI’s fireground accountability projects. He provides public safety radio expertise and assists with deployments, development, testing, and quality control efforts. He has 23 years of experience as an Electrical and Software Engineer, working all phases of the technical project life cycle from requirements and architecture to factory introduction and customer support.

Kate performs software design and development for the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Virtual Mission Operations Center (VMOC) Program. On the VMOC Program, she supports efforts to provide Department of Defense (DoD) users with the VMOC software framework to meet satellite tasking and mission management needs in the space domain.

Steven Sombat
Software Engineer

Steven assists with SDI’s First Responder testing and development efforts. He develops and executes test scripts, creates configuration files, and supports debug efforts. Steven works on the development and testing of First Responder applications and assists with SDI testbed operations and maintenance.

Kylee Tennis

Kylee supports U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Code 8200 financial reporting and data collection for multiple programs. She delivers monthly and annual financial cost reports. Kylee tracks deliverables and Sponsor funding. She supports funding allocation activities and development of costs and budgets.

William Vangroll
Senior Program Analyst

William coordinates projects and major technical reviews and performs project planning, documentation development, facilities coordination, and requirements analysis. His background in customer spacecraft launch activities includes pre-ship planning, launch site support, and post-launch activities.

Cory Creason
Software Engineer
In Memoriam

Mr. Creason performed design and development activities for SDI’s Government and Commercial clients. He developed front-end user interfaces and supported code development and testing across multiple SDI applications. Mr. Creason supported SDI First Responder application development, test, and deployment activities. He administered integrated tracking software to capture, track, and control software defects.

Cory joined SDI in the Summer of 2013 as a software intern. He passed away on December 22, 2017. He was a beloved friend and coworker, and his loss is deeply felt. We miss him terribly, and we are also thankful for the time we spent with him.
